Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for the overall management of a facility. Plans, develops, directs, monitors and supports all operational, administrative, clinical, human resources, customer service and fiscal activities for the Agency’s programs and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures the quality and appropriateness of client / patient care meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
Ensures compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines and standards.
Prepares annual budget for Agency. Monitors monthly performance of agency in relation to budget and intervenes as needed.
Recruits, hires, provides orientation/training, and retains a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out Agency programs and services. Ensures employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.
Makes sure office is a safe, clean, comfortable, and appealing environment for clients, patients, visitors and staff in accordance with company guidelines.
Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner.
Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Manages all aspects of state or federal government survey processes.
Responsible for grievance process from clients, patients, employees, etc.
Functions as primary officer for agency according to HIPAA guidelines.

Required experience:
Nursing Home Administrator/Health Office Manager: 1 year
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed RN in the State of VA is most preferred and will be a plus
One year of nursing experience, preferably in Hospice, Home Health, or a Skilled Nursing Facility
Current CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule and on call
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
Good communication skills, both spoken and written, particularly with a senior population
Able to speak and understand verbal instructions in English
Organized and detail oriented
Must be able to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision
